With William of Wykeham seated holding a bishop's crozier and with a model of the chapel, surrounded by scholars. THIS MEDAL WAS STRUCK IN COMMEMORATIO[N] OF THE FIVE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY. Around the border: 1393 1893 MANNERS MAKYTH MAN. Signed on steps of bishop's throne G. FRAMPTON SC.; the reverse with a view of the chapel with St. Catherine's Hill in the background, on a scroll STET FORTUNA DOMUS, to the right, the arms of Wykeham.

George Frampton (1860 - 1928) was a notable British sculptor and leading member of the New Sculpture Movement. Among his notable public sculptures are the figure of Peter Pan in Kensington Palace Gardens and the lions at the British Museum.
